Regardless of where we travel to, our eyes are naturally drawn to colorful flowers. Sometimes we take photographs of an entire bed of flowers, but other times we will focus in on a single flower to see all of the amazing details. It is also a way to see how various parts of the flower reflects light differently, creating unique contrasts. Here are some of our favorite flower photographs that we’ve taken during different trips to different parts of the world.

Traveling provides such a wonderful opportunity to see historic locations as well as the ingenuity of the human race. Cities have evolved over time and each generation has added to their splendor in a variety of different ways. We certainly enjoy seeing the historic old town areas, the beautiful cathedrals, and the grand architecture of castles and manors. With that said, we also love views of modern skyscrapers with their glistening windows. In many cities, the local citizens work in the modern section of the city that is filled with tall buildings that are away from the historic, old town sections that have kept their original charm. Sometimes the two exist right next to each other with historic buildings sitting next to modern structures.

There are some places where you expect to see some unusual animals, such as when going to the jungle or desert. Some places are associated with certain animals, so they often use them as part of tourist attractions, like riding a camel or seeing a snake charmer. Other times, it is simply a random event where you just happen to see animals in their natural environment as part of a hike. We have certainly seen our fair share of different animals, some of them cute and some of them not so much. Whenever we see animals, we do our best to get a photograph of them, with varying results. Do you take photographs of animals during your travels?
