Skyscrapers and City Skylines

Traveling provides such a wonderful opportunity to see historic locations as well as the ingenuity of the human race. Cities have evolved over time and each generation has added to their splendor in a variety of different ways. We certainly enjoy seeing the historic old town areas, the beautiful cathedrals, and the grand architecture of castles and manors. With that said, we also love views of modern skyscrapers with their glistening windows. In many cities, the local citizens work in the modern section of the city that is filled with tall buildings that are away from the historic, old town sections that have kept their original charm. Sometimes the two exist right next to each other with historic buildings sitting next to modern structures.

Awkward Birds in the Wild

Although most birds are graceful, there are some birds that are just downright awkward. Even though turkeys and roosters can actually fly, they don’t do it very often and when they do, they don’t seem very comfortable. They spend most of their time on the ground with their heads bobbing back and forth to help balance out their bodies. There is a saying, “it is hard to soar like an eagle when you are surrounded by turkeys”. These birds are definitely interesting to watch, especially when you see them in the wild.

Unique Ways to Get Around

We are all used to traveling by airplane, car, boat, and trains, but sometimes you find yourself having a unique way to get from one place to another. Some might require a sense of adventure and some are just for fun, others are literally the only way to get from point A to point B. Throughout time, people have found ways to improve how they travel or overcome obstacles that keep them from getting to their destination. Even in this age of technology and modern innovation, simple travel solutions can still be found, especially in remote areas. Here are a few of the unique ways that we’ve gotten around, but certainly not all of them. We aren’t sure which of these might considered the most unique because we enjoyed them all for the experience that they provided. What is the most unique way that you have travelled?
