Whenever we travel, there are often times where you see something through a window or a door and you want to capture what you see in a photograph. In many of those cases, the window or door become part of the photograph and it can add to the story the image is trying to tell. Even if it isn’t an actual window or door other things can frame the image that you are looking at. Here are just a few examples that we have found interesting.
Obviously we have been going through many changes since moving to Germany. We try to look at every obstacle as an opportunity for growth and change, but it isn’t always easy. This week’s Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge is about Entrances and Doors. We have crossed many thresholds in our lives and each has proved to bring something interesting, perhaps unexpected, not always good, but never the less it has left an impression on who we are today. Taking photos of doors is something that we had not done as much of in the past, but we have done more of it as we have travelled to more varied places. We decided to choose this photo from Tiwanaku of the entrance to the Sun Temple as our featured picture, but we have also included a couple of other entrances and doors that we have found interesting.
It is amazing to see the different styles of intricately carved doors that exist around the world. There is a reason that doors are so often photographed and we’ve definitely enjoyed seeing so many of them being shared on the various sites that we follow. For Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge this week, the theme is Doors and Drawers, so we figured we would share these doors from the church in Copacabana, Bolivia. We’re not sure that photographs truly give justice to how beautiful the carvings on these doors were, but we really enjoyed seeing them.
