7-Day Nature Photo Challenge ~ Day 6

We were nominated by fellow blogger, ProjectRelish, for a seven-day photo challenge, so we will be posting one of our nature pictures every day for the next seven days.

For day 6, we chose a photo of a stately tree in Warwickshire, England (can a tree actually be stately?).  Our friends in Europe are probably looking at the tree and thinking, “there’s nothing particularly interesting about that tree”, but for us, we don’t see trees like that, especially in Colorado.  It was such a beautiful autumn day and the blue sky just seemed to wrap itself around the top of the tree.  We found the English countryside to be absolutely beautiful and we’re really glad that we didn’t limit our visit to England to just London.

7-Day Nature Photo Challenge ~ Day 3

We were nominated by fellow blogger, ProjectRelish, for a seven-day photo challenge, so we will be posting one of our nature pictures every day for the next seven days.

For Day 3, we chose a picture from our trip to Tangier, Morocco.  During our trip, we visited the Cave of Hercules (Grottes d’Hercules), which is located on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean.  It is an interesting site, but the highlight is the opening of the cave that is believed to have been carved by the Phoenicians.  When viewed from the ocean, the opening is in the shape of Africa, which makes it pretty unique.

Daily Post Photo Challenge – One Love

Several years ago, we were at Yellowstone National Park and we had gone to the wolf preserve in West Yellowstone to see the wolves up-close. While we were there, we captured this picture of two wolves who appear to be in love. When we saw the weekly photo challenge come out, we knew at once that this was the picture that we wanted to share.
