Hiking in the Rockies

One of our favorite hobbies is to get out into nature and to go on a hike. If we could, we would probably go hiking every weekend, but unfortunately life doesn’t always cooperate. Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge this week is all about Walking, Indoors and Outdoors, so we thought we’d take everyone on a hike with us. We’ve put together a series of photos from a recent hike that shows the various transitions of the trail as it wound its way into the mountains. If you use your imagination, you can feel the mountain breeze, hear the chirping of the birds, and smell the trees and wildflowers. So, come along with us as we walk along a single trail in the Colorado Rockies.

Germany is on Our Minds

It might only be June, but for this week’s Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Events, our minds quickly went back to the Oktoberfest Festival that we went to last September. Going to an Oktoberfest is certainly a lot of fun wherever you can find one, but it would certainly be a wonderful experience to go to the land where the celebration originated.

This week’s Discover Challenge ask us to thing about the old days of analog. The world has certainly come a long way since the days when we grew up. Television without remotes, telephones with rotary dials, no such thing as a microwave or personal computer. In this new world where everyone has instant access to entertainment and the internet, it seems as though life would come to end if we lost access to our phones, tablets, and computers. There are times that we think that the younger generation has lost the art of communication, real communication, looking someone in the eye and carrying on a conversation. No longer does anyone send a letter expressing honest thoughts and feelings, but who knows, perhaps blogging is the new exchange of letters, but in the new world way. Anyway, we thought we would share one of our photos taken before the days of digital cameras, but of course we scanned it into our computer ;).
