The Shops of Marbella

We really enjoyed walking the tiny shops in the resort town of Marbella, Spain. For Cee’s Which Way Challenge this week, we decided to share a couple of photos of the narrow streets with the gorgeous tile sidewalks. We ended up buying a couple of Christmas ornaments while we were there, but tapas at the Café-Bar El Estrecho was definitely the highlight. Since the heat can be unbearable at times in southern Spain, the shade of the narrow streets can be the only way to escape the searing sun. Going to Marbella might be all about watching the rich and famous relax on the beach, but walking the shops and window shopping has its own rewards.

Cee’s Which Way Challenge – View from the Trail

We had so much fun with this challenge last week that we decided to go ahead and do it again. There is a tremendous amount of diversity when hiking the trails of Colorado. All of these photos were taken on the same hike in Beaver Creek in September of 2010. It was a beautiful day and the scenery was truly spectacular.

Cee’s Which Way Challenge

We haven’t participated in this challenge before, but when we were going through some pictures of Iceland the other day we came across a photo that seemed perfect. The purpose of this challenge is to show photographs that depict the roads, walks, trails, rails, and steps that carry us places. Iceland seemed particularly fitting since we  spent  so much of our time taking pictures from our rental car. This photo was taken when we stopped at Gullfoss Falls and climbed down these stairs to get a closer look at the waterfall.

We saw plenty of incredible scenery while driving, like the glacier off in the distance as we twisted and turned around the peninsula.
