Daily Post Photo Challenge – Seasons

Living in Colorado, every season is absolutely amazing. We like to go hiking and we’ve seen the mountains show us some incredible beauty. We like this image because it captures the inevitable transition of autumn into winter (we’d like to think we’ve got a few years before that represents our age 🙂 ).  We were hiking in Vail at the time and we the Aspen leaves were gently drifting down on to the snow-covered ground creating a lovely mix of white and gold.

Daily Post Photo Challenge – Life Imitates Art

When we were in San Francisco, we had a gorgeous view of the city from our hotel room. We were playing around with the shutter speeds and aperture settings, but we didn’t have our tripod with us. The result was what you see here. We definitely weren’t trying to do anything artistic, let alone imitate anything specific, but the results were what they were. What are your thoughts?

Daily Post Photo Challenge – Time

We gave some thought to the time challenge and what came to our minds was something that lasted throughout time. We considered some ancient ruins, fossils, and statues, but in the end we decided on petroglyphs or cave drawings. Seeing an expression of human existence that has survived the passage of time is awe-inspiring. Knowing that ancient hands took the time to carve their story into stone for future generations to see is truly a wonderful thing.  We also chose a picture that was taken twenty years ago, because what is a photograph if not a moment in time captured.
