For this week’s Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge – Cities (Skylines to Street Photography), we picked this photo of the rooftops in Manhattan. It was actually the view from the hotel where we stayed and we found the rooftop garden and the various water towers to make for a unique scene.
There are architectural gems in just about every place we’ve ever visited and each is special in their own ways. Trying to decide which location to feature as part of Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Architecture seemed a daunting task. After careful consideration, we decided on Alhambra in Granada, Spain. The fact that it is an amalgamation of styles throughout its history, but that the Islamic architecture remained the centerpiece, even when occupied by Spanish royalty, truly makes this place special. Despite the grand size of the palace and grounds, the real beauty is in the intricate details found throughout Alhambra.
This week, for Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge – Red and Yellow, we decided to use this photograph of a flower from our backyard taken by our youngest daughter several years ago. Red and yellow are such complimentary colors that you see them combined quite often in nature.
Don’t scroll down and look at this next picture if you have a fear of clowns or, worse yet, a fear of evil clowns. This was actually a decoration in our front yard for Halloween one year. Despite the fact that he is a little spooky, he is very colorful.
On a happier note, Lumiere standing on top of a red and yellow parade float is more likely to put a smile on your face. In the end though, we liked the flowers more than the other photos.
