For Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Fountains, we chose this whimsical fountain from Coroico, Bolivia. After driving down “death road”, it was enjoyable to go to this little village and see the fountain in the main square. The happy nature of the main square was quite a contrast to the foggy drive down through the rain forest.
We also considered this fountain from Cochabamba, but decided on the fun parrot.
It might only be June, but for this week’s Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Events, our minds quickly went back to the Oktoberfest Festival that we went to last September. Going to an Oktoberfest is certainly a lot of fun wherever you can find one, but it would certainly be a wonderful experience to go to the land where the celebration originated.
It is amazing to see the different styles of intricately carved doors that exist around the world. There is a reason that doors are so often photographed and we’ve definitely enjoyed seeing so many of them being shared on the various sites that we follow. For Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge this week, the theme is Doors and Drawers, so we figured we would share these doors from the church in Copacabana, Bolivia. We’re not sure that photographs truly give justice to how beautiful the carvings on these doors were, but we really enjoyed seeing them.
