When we were in Ronda, Spain, a couple of years ago, we went to an olive oil factory where the local growers brought there harvests to be pressed into olive oil. It was fascinating to see how the olives were transported into the factory and then pressed using large, weighted, presses. To say that the olive oil that we tasted that day was some of the best that we have ever tasted would be an extreme understatement. For this week’s Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge, Gears and Engines, we thought that we would share a few photos from that tour. We can almost taste the olive oil when looking back at these pictures.

Enjoying Your Surroundings
There is no doubt that everyone is influenced by their environment. It would be wonderful if we were able to completely control our surroundings, not just the artwork and furniture, but the weather, the light, the totality of the world around you. If we were as rich as the kings and queens of the past, perhaps we could achieve such results, so when we saw that this week’s Daily Post Photo Challenge was Ambiance, we thought of some of the beautiful palaces that we have seen during our travels. The one that has stuck out the most is Alhambra and the combination of natural elements as well as architectural and cultural influences. We can only imagine what it would have been like to have lived in such a magical location.
Daily Post Photo Challenge – Edge
There are a lot of photos that we have taken while looking over steep edges. Considering that we have a fear of heights, looking through the lens and zooming at objects in the distance can often be disorienting. For this week’s challenge, we decided to share this photo taken in Ronda, Spain, of the houses built on the edge of the large crevasse that separates the old and new sides of the city.
